Dr. Karin Diaconu is a health scientist interested in health service delivery in humanitarian settings and low- and middle-income countries, particularly as relates to a health systems’ capability to offer care in times of adversity, i.e. exposure to prolonged stress (e.g. increased funding restrictions) or shock (e.g. protracted crises). Karin is also interested in priority-setting in such conditions.
In the Results4TB project, Karin is involved in the clinical trial, i.e. its design, sampling strategy elaboration and eventual analysis. Her experience in systems dynamics methods (both qualitative and quantitative) will help inform the integration of the project’s components, including the realist evaluation and cost-effectiveness analysis.
